Piazza Navona

The elongated Piazza Navona, with its three impressive fountains, including the Quattro Fiumi Fountain with an Egyptian obelisk in the center, is Rome's most famous and lively square. Built in the 1st century AD, the square was used as a stadium for sports competitions and could accommodate more than 20,000 spectators.
