Estate of M.F. Shchelokov

The Studenom Quarter is home to the unique estate of merchant Shchelokov, which is one of the most significant historical sites in the city. This wooden mansion was built using sophisticated technology that makes it look like a stone manor. In an eclectic style and with elements of the French Renaissance, the building is decorated with Greek columns and a wrought-iron fence. Despite the fact that the architecture of the manor dates back to the first half of the 19th century, it was built later, in the period 1890-1903.
