Detailed description
The plant was founded in 1847, the founders were Werner von Siemens and German engineer Johann Halske. Thanks to the first cable factory, a telegraph was installed in the Winter Palace, and electric lanterns appeared on Nevsky Prospekt. The plant turned one hundred and forty years old in 2019, and it was this production that became the starting point for the development of the cable industry in Russia. Now in our country there is a professional celebration for employees of the cable industry.
