The building consists of two floors. The apartment building was built in brick style in 1900. Since 2015, it has been included in the list of historical and architectural monuments of regional importance. The house is represented on the tourist route "Red Line". The main occupation of the owner of the merchant Chuvildin's house was flour trading. He was famous in the city and had authority. The house itself consists of two connected buildings of different storeys, located on a steep slope towards the river. The unusual stepped facade gives the building originality.
