Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Novo-Tikhvin Monastery
Detailed description
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the territory of the Novo-Tikhvin Monastery was built in 1778. A brick single-domed church with keeled buildings in the Classical style, funded by a merchant for a cemetery. The church has two chapels: Tikhvin (1875) and the Nativity of the Baptist (1876). And three altars in honor of: the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Nativity of John the Baptist, and the Icon of the Mother of God of Tikhvin. Currently, the temple is not in operation, construction work is underway in it.
