The mansion of V.I. Chagin
Detailed description
The apartment building and the urban estate of architect V.I. Chagin is a small building, built in 1892 according to the plan of architect Ivan Kondratenko. The side of the two-storey house is decorated in an original genre, adopting elements of Gothic and Art Nouveau, which gives it a festive, as well as a slightly "gingerbread" look. It is decorated with lancet windows and door openings, as well as stucco floral patterns in the decoration of the architraves; on the ground floor there are large rectangular storefronts, as well as a large arched window. The floors are separated by a cornice, and at the top of the structure is a semicircular dormer window in a complex sculptural attic, framed by small decorative turrets.
