House of V.R. Grechikhin
Detailed description
The house belonged to Vasily Romanovich Grechkin, one of the "gingerbread kings" of Tula. The three-storey house was built in the early 20th century in the then fashionable Art Nouveau style. The entrance from the street corner, the grilles on the balcony, the facade decor and the door leading to Sovetskaya Street are typical of the Art Nouveau style. The windows are made of stained glass windows, which have not been preserved to this day. A canopy over the entrance from F. Street. Engels is supported by a caryatid, which is not found anywhere else in Tula.
