The moving house and the fire department of the St. Petersburg military unit were built in 1827. Since the 1860s, the building has been undergoing reconstruction and expansion. The building has two floors, stone, smoothly plastered. The facades of the building are decorated with windows with profile cornices, which are recessed into the walls. This house had the honor to be mentioned in the literary work "Crime and Punishment".
