Museum of Leningrad Childhood
Detailed description
The Museum of Leningrad Childhood is located near the Elizarov Apartment Museum. The museum was founded in 2013. The museum's history began with the fact that Nadezhda Mikhailovna Murygina's mother sold her doll during the Siege of Leningrad in order to survive and buy food. Later, Nadezhda Mikhailovna saw a similar doll and assembled her own collection of more than three hundred dolls, which she later donated to the museum. The exhibition is based on toys from Leningrad factories, photographs of puppet characters from old TV shows, and other unique exhibits. The museum holds art exhibitions and publishes newspapers.
