Single - column refectory
Detailed description
The refectory is part of the Spaso-Andronnikov Monastery. It was built in the early 16th century by order of Ivan III. The building is square in plan, with a four-pitched roof. The facades are decorated with ornate tiles. The ward consists of two floors: warehouses were located on the lower floor, and a refectory hall on the upper floor. Its internal structure copies the structure of the famous Faceted Chamber: four cross arches are supported by a pillar in the center. The refectory building now houses the Andrei Rublev Museum of Ancient Russian Culture.
