Kersten 's apartment building

Kersten's apartment building is located near Novo-Zhdanovsky Square. The six-storey brick apartment building was built in 1911 in the Art Nouveau style by architect S.P. Kondratiev. It also housed the factory management of Kersten's hosiery and knitting factory, founded back in 1866. The company was the largest in the knitting industry of tsarist Russia. And after the revolution, the factory retained its profile and became the parent company of the Krasnoe Znamya association. The building is a historical and cultural monument of regional importance.
