Detailed description
The apartment building of A. N. Matushevsky is an apartment building, an example of ordinary buildings in St. Petersburg at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The house was designed by architect E. F. Brzhozovsky and the work was carried out in 1899 and 1902. After that, the building remained in its historical form until the beginning of the twenty-first century without any alterations. The building was occupied in the 1980s and has not been renovated since. The house stood without electricity for thirty years and fell into disrepair as a result.
