Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Zemstvo Hospital, outpatient building
Detailed description
Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Zemstvo Hospital is the largest medical institution in the Nizhny Novgorod region in pre-revolutionary times. The hospital buildings were built at the beginning of the 19th century. The outpatient building was originally a one-story wooden building. In 1914, a new stone building was built in its place, designed by G.D. Behli in the spirit of rationalistic style. During the First World War, the wounded were housed here. Later, the building was placed at the disposal of the regional clinical hospital. The regional center for the prevention and control of infectious diseases is currently operating in the building.
