The house of the philistine A.P. Safonova
Detailed description
Samara's only wooden Empire-style house built in 1902. The owner of the house was a bourgeois Anna Petrovna Safonova. The building is made of logs with a stone foundation. The main facade is alternately divided by projecting pilasters. The roof is framed by a complex-profile protruding cornice, which is decorated with brackets with volutes trimmed to match the scales. The decorative design is a striking example of the Empire style. This is a unique example of a wooden building, in the design of which elements typical of stone buildings were used.
