Detailed description
The house was built in 1875. The merchant Mikhail Fedorovich Shchelokov originally lived in it. And in 1897, photographer Karelin organized his photo studio in this house. Subsequently, the building was used as an art school, which was of great importance in the city. Famous artists Ivan Shishkin and Vasily Vereshchagin visited here. Currently, the building houses an art school.
