The Museum of the History of the city of Samara named after M.D. Chelyshev was founded in 1997 to preserve the memory of outstanding Samaritans and figures who contributed to the development of the city. The museum exposition shows important events in the life of the Samara region over the years. It consists of five small rooms. The museum houses the coat of arms of the city, a copy of the Samara banner, ceremonial books of honorary citizens and guests of the city.
