Apartment house of N.A. Meltzer
Detailed description
The architectural building is made in the Art Nouveau style, in 1904-1905. The windows are made in different shapes and sizes. The facade is decorated with granite, perfectly combined with colored plaster. In 1907, architect Fyodor Lidval was awarded a silver medal for finishing the facade of this house. The house consisted of large corner apartments with fourteen rooms each. The apartments were located one at a time: on the third, fourth and fifth floors. The landlord himself lived with his family in the corner apartment No. 4 on the fifth floor. The decor of the grand staircase has been preserved to this day.
