Southwest Tower
Detailed description
The corner tower of the monastery wall, made in the shape of a circle. The tower was built in 1686-1711 along with other buildings of the monastery. The tower had three tiers, two tiers were occupied by loopholes. It also has an outdoor area surrounded by an arcade. In the 1930s and 1970s, the tower was turned into a columbarium. Niches were made in the wall, into which urns with ashes began to be installed. The tower was covered with cement for three meters and painted black.
