In 1591, Tsar Fyodor Ivanovich founded the Donskoy Monastery. The building is known for its temples, necropolis and architecture. The first tower of the eastern wall attracts attention. It is presented in the form of a rectangular brick structure. It is made of red brick. The top is crowned with jagged bases and arched openings. High-relief paintings are depicted in the central part of the eastern wall. They show historical and religious moments. For example, the sculptures depicted Dmitry Donskoy's visit to Sergius of Radonezh before the campaign against the Tatars. Or the meeting of David, who defeated Goliath.
