Alexander Military School
Detailed description
The building was built in the eighteenth century. It is a two-storey stone structure with three projections and with elements of wedges. Attached to the main building is a one-story house with a symmetrical composition and rusticated decoration. By the decision of the Moscow Board of Guardians, an orphan institute was housed in the building, which was transferred to an educational institution and later reorganized into a cadet corps. In the twentieth century, two additional buildings were built, namely the houses of the heads of the school and the chancery. After the revolution, the military school was abolished. Currently, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is located.
