Detailed description
The building was built at the end of the eighteenth century by order of General Stepan Apraksin. The building is located in a very convenient location at the intersection of Znamenka and Arbat Square, the exact architect of the project is unknown, but presumably it was Francesco Camporesi. After the end of the war of 1812, the troupe of the Moscow Imperial Theater performed in the mansion building. Currently, the mansion houses organizations. The Ministry of Defense.
