Detailed description
Vorozhein's apartment building. The building was built in 1890 by architect G. N. Vasiliev. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the merchant P. K. Masalina owned the house. Masalin's house is an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. According to the data from 1913 to 1914, the house belonged to P. K. Masalina. In the 1920s, after the arrival of Soviet power, the house was nationalized. The residential apartments are located on the 2nd floor. The corner dome was lost during the Great Patriotic War. After the war, it was restored in a simplified form. The house is built in the spirit of eclecticism, its architecture and design combine elements of Baroque and classicism, a belvedere with four dormer windows on the sides. The dome has an octagonal volume decorated with vase-shaped reliefs. The facade of the building has a brick finish. The window openings are decorated with profile platbands, sandricks, window frame niches.
