Siege yards
Detailed description
Recreated in 2020 to mark the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Tula Kremlin, the siege shelter is a collection of huts that were used by the city's residents to hide from enemy attacks in the 16th and 17th centuries. All kinds of people lived in the garden. Those who directly owned the land, such as the local clergy and nobility, rarely lived here. Basically, the retinue of ordinary townspeople and artisans who had nowhere to live hired their services or rented the territory.
