The tower of the Ivanovo Gate

One of the defensive towers of the Tula Kremlin, erected in 1520, was originally named Nikitskaya. It is located in the very center of the southeastern wall. It is an architectural monument of the sixteenth century. The peculiarity of the structure is that inside the wall there is an opening leading to a ladder for climbing to the loopholes.
