Ivanovskaya Tower

The Ivanovskaya (Tainitskaya) Tower of the Tula Kremlin in the central district of Tula is a building of the XVI century and is included in the list of cultural monuments of the Russian Federation. The tower is a 16th-century building. The Ivanovskaya Tower, a round blind tower in the eastern corner of the Tula Kremlin, was built in 1520. In the 16th century, it was called Tainitskaya, because under the tower there was a passage 70 m long leading to the Upa River. There was an oak log cabin in this passage, which was used to supply the Kremlin with water during the siege.
