Detailed description
The branch of the Moscow Accounting Bank was built in Tula in 1897 in the Baroque architectural style. The Moscow Accounting Bank was the largest bank in tsarist Russia. The building was built as an apartment building, which not only housed a bank branch, but also rented residential apartments and commercial premises. After the 1917 revolution, the building was nationalized and turned over to the telegraph office.
