Apartment house of Y.T. Krestovnikova
Detailed description
The apartment building was built in 1913 by the Russian architect Herman I.A. for Yulia Timofeevna Krestovnikova, the daughter of Timofey Savvich Morozov. The house was built in the neoclassical style, richly decorated with stucco. But part of the building was occupied by a flophouse, thereby scaring away respectable tenants. The house is famous for the fact that the famous Russian artist Savrasov A.K. died in it. After the revolution, the building was nationalized.
