Detailed description
The apartment building, located at the intersection of Yauzsky Boulevard and Podkolokolny Lane, was built in 1934-1941. It was built for the staff and students of the Military Engineering Academy named after V.V. Kuibyshev according to the project of architect I.A. Golosov. Facing the intersection of Podkolokolny Lane and Yauzsky Boulevard, the facade of the building has the appearance of a sloping corner. In the center of the large rectangular portal with an arch are sculptures depicting a worker with a jackhammer and a book, a collective farmer with a rifle and a sheaf. Consoles are also interesting – their endings are in the form of pilasters. This building is an object of cultural heritage of regional importance.
