N.D. Teleshov's Mansion
Detailed description
Teleshov's residential mansion is the city estate of F.A.Tolstoy - there is a commemorative plaque on the house. The house was built in the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1894, the house was rebuilt by architect V.V.Barkov.
The main house of the estate has 2 facades, treated like front ones and decorated with the same Ionic portico with a canopy. The original facade decoration of the main house remained almost unchanged.
An external wall separated the front yard from the utility yard, and in the early 19th century, after the gardens were laid out on newly annexed land along the road, the front yard was enclosed by a deeply curved building. Pilasters, frieze sockets and decorations of the ground floor windows appeared on the facade at the end of the 19th century. The office building of the estate was expanded and rebuilt several times, and the imperial facade of the extension was partially preserved.
