City estate of the Latyshevs - Bakhrushins - Bardygins, carriage house

The building was built in the middle of the 18th century in the Art Nouveau style. In different periods from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, the estate belonged to influential dynasties. The building was rebuilt several times, it acquired its modern appearance after reconstruction in 1911. The main residence of the estate received the unofficial nickname "The House of talking Snakes" because of the characteristic decoration. The Indian Embassy has been located in the building since 1952.
