High-rise building on Kudrinskaya Square
Detailed description
The high-rise building on Kudrinskaya Square was built in the period from 1948 to 1854. It is one of the seven Stalinist skyscrapers. This building has one distinctive feature: an underground structure was built there. The architect used many styles in construction: the Stalinist Empire style, the Old Russian style. The building is decorated with many decorative elements: sculptures on the risals, a tent-shaped spire that crowns the central building. The pointed turrets around the spire look like the domes of an Orthodox church. There are harsh sculptural portraits of Soviet workers and soldiers on the roof of the stylobate. There are also stained glass windows.
