Apartment house of K.M. Sokolovsky
Detailed description
The house of K. M. Sokolovsky was built in 1910-1911 by architect Korvin-Krukovsky Sergey Sergeevich. It consisted of two six-storey houses with an attic and two front facades, as well as three courtyard outbuildings. The facade from Bolshoy Prospekt is in the back, with huge curly gables that used to hide the ends of the dormers with arched bay windows. The lower floor is decorated with gray granite. After reconstruction in 2003, the attic and the transverse wing were dismantled. The color of the facades has been changed - previously, light arches stood out against a dark background. The interior of the lobby, stairs, stucco friezes and ceiling lights in the neoclassical style.
