The shopping area is located near the Kilis mosque and is considered an object of cultural heritage of Russia. Previously, the square was the site of a Medieval Derbent shopping center. The city was known for the level of development of local trade. The shopping area is lined with hewn stones and is located in the upper part of Derbent. Its area is about 560 square meters.
