Kilisa Mosque
Detailed description
This building was built in the 11th-19th centuries and is one of the quarter mosques. Located near the ancient shopping center of the city, it got its name due to the fact that for some time it was used as a garrison church. By decision of the authorities, it was closed in 1936. After several decades, the building almost completely collapsed, and only in the late seventies of the 20th century was it restored as a museum of copper-hammered tableware. Since 1994, a mosque has been located in the building and is used for its original purpose.
