Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Detailed description
In 1894, permission was obtained for the construction of the third Catholic church in Moscow. The temple was built away from the city center and the Orthodox church. The cathedral is a pseudo-basilica in the Neo-Gothic style with a three-pointed cross. The facade design was inspired by the Gothic cathedral of Westminster Abbey and the dome of Milan Cathedral. The walls of the cathedral were built in 1911 (architect L.F. Dosche). The church, named a branch of the Immaculate Conception Church, was consecrated on December 21, 1911.
