Ural Geological Museum
Detailed description
The museum was opened in August 1937. The birth of the museum was facilitated by the 17th Congress of the International Geological Congress, held in Moscow. The Ural lands, rich in ores, minerals, precious and semi-precious stones and jewelry, have traditionally been in the spotlight. This gave rise to the idea of organizing an exhibition at the Ural Technical Museum to showcase the mineral wealth and achievements of the 20 years of Soviet power in the field of exploration, mining and geological research in the Urals.
