The Rakhmanov Mansion
Detailed description
In 1833, a one-story building was built in which there were trading shops owned by merchant Peter Markovich Rakhmanov. Later in 1898, architect Kondratenko G.I. built a new corner building in the style fashionable at that time, which became the apartment building of the Rakhmanov family. In 1918, the Proletarian Museum was organized in the mansion, but later it was disbanded and the collection of icons located there was distributed to the largest museums in the country.
