Apartment house of M.D. Kornilov
Detailed description
Until the 20th century, there was a residential wooden house on this site. And from 1914 to 1915, architect A. F. Baranovsky built a mansion here for the famous construction contractor M. D. Kornilov. The building is a six-storey corner house with attics, the facades are decorated with white ceramic tiles and sculptural bas-relief inserts. The first floor of the house is decorated with gray granite, and all the others are decorated with interesting facing tiles. The interior of the house can also attract attention, there you can see the original bright stained glass windows and stucco. The building successfully fits into the interior of the city and streets, impresses with its size and features of the structure. The building is located in St. Petersburg, at the intersection of Pionerskaya Street and Maly Prospekt.
