Detailed description

The palace was built in 1739. The building was originally made of wood. The architect is Rastrelli. The location was chosen by Count Levenwolde due to the fact that his mistress' estate was located nearby.Soon, by order of Queen Elizabeth Petrovna, the owner was sent into a long exile. The building was transferred to the treasury and subsequently transferred to Shubin. But the former favorite considered St. Petersburg a dangerous place and left. K. G. Razumovsky became the new owner. In 1760, the building fell into disrepair and was dismantled. Kokorinov started working on the design of a new building. The work was completed by Vallin-Delamotte in 1766. Once upon a time, the palace hosted many balls and masquerades, which attracted a large number of people. Attention was also paid to the poor, who would never have been able to get into this fairy tale: on big holidays, everyone received alms. The building is remembered for its facade. It has a protruding risolite in the center of the building with six columns, a stepped attic, carved stucco, bas-reliefs, as well as figured architraves.
