The workers' dormitory of the Nevsky Paper-spinning Manufactory
Detailed description
The building was built in 1897 by the famous architect of St. Petersburg. In construction, he adhered to the style of Pre-Revolutionary buildings. Opposite this building is the Kirov Spinning and Thread Mill complex, and a dormitory was built for its employees. The building has decorative elements of such architectural style as Art Nouveau. It is a five-storey red brick building. It has retained the rigor and scale of the buildings of the pre-revolutionary period. In the period of our time, it no longer looks as elegant as before, as restoration work has not been carried out for a long time, but it is nevertheless no less fascinating.
