The mansion of the Potiralovsky - Istomins
Detailed description
The mansion, built in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, belonged to the merchant A. F. Potiralovsky, who was engaged in the trade in grain products and was a well-known representative of the trading elite of his time. The two-storey house, located on a high basement, amazed with its luxury and beauty of the interior. The house had rooms for servants and a spacious kitchen. The cast-iron balcony on stone brackets and sandriks depicting antique female heads at the windows of the second floor have been preserved from the details of the decoration. The Potiralovsky Mansion has become one of the most impressive buildings on the embankment.
