The Eliseevs ' Apartment House
Detailed description
The Yeliseyev Merchants building at 14 Birzhevaya Liniya was designed by architect Nikolai Pavlovich Grebenki in 1861-1862. Later, the interior was reconstructed and planned by architect Gavriil Vasilyevich Baranovsky. The house is four storeys high, made of stone. The facade is modestly decorated with stucco and some architectural details. But the interior interiors are striking in the beauty of the finish. The house had a shop on the ground floor, merchants' offices and their apartments on the next two floors, and employees' apartments on the last floor. There was a warehouse in the basement.
Now there are several departments of ITMO University located here.
