Detailed description
This building was built in the 19th century. The building is a quadrangular house, which originally had two floors. It was used as warehouses in the 19th century. After that, the warehouses of the Kozukhin artel were located here, as well as the office of the Glen Artel. After 1917, the warehouses of the city militia were located in this place. In the 40s of the twentieth century, the building was added to the third floor. After that, a lobby appeared in the building, and a lecture hall with 400 seats was placed above it. Since then, the building has been occupied by the historical and Philosophical faculties of St. Petersburg State University. The geography faculty worked here in the early 1930s, and the economics faculty in the mid-1960s. Novobirzhevoy Gostiny Dvor also includes the geological and soil faculty, a polyclinic and the military department of the university.
