Pushkin House
Detailed description
The Pushkin House is a complex museum and research complex, the only one in the world in terms of its uniqueness. It was established on December 15, 1905, on the initiative of a number of Russian cultural figures. The museum holds more than two hundred thousand pieces of fine, documentary, and historical materials related to Russian literature of the XVIII-XX centuries. Since 1995, it has been included in the State Register of Especially Valuable Cultural Heritage Sites. The Institute's structure includes research departments, centers, groups and laboratories, as well as a Literary Museum, a Manuscript Department and a Phonogram Archive.
