Apartment house of A.V. Makarova
Detailed description
The house was built by architect Karl Valerianovich Baldi in 1901. The architectural structure has five floors, two front rooms and eighteen apartments. The house is designed in the neoclassical style, in a duet with Stalinist classicism. The building is divided by a through, monumental arch into two equal parts. The house was seen in the filming of the film by the Soviet film director, Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov - "A Girl without an address". Also, the famous academician Graftio Heinrich Osipovich, an energy engineer, lived in the house, as demonstrated by a commemorative plaque installed on the facade of the house in his honor.
