The cottage of P.S. Perova
Detailed description
The site originally belonged to the midwife E. Gibler. Then this area was called "small Kamennoostrovsky cottages". Around 1880, a wooden cottage was built here for the wife of the honorary citizen of St. Petersburg, P.S. Petrova. The decor of the house combined elements of Gothic and Russian folk style. The structural differences of the building are the complex layout of the site with functional zoning, a tower with a sloping hipped roof, and a dynamic silhouette. Subsequently, the cottage passed to engineer S.I. Petrovsky and his heirs. During the Soviet period, the mansion was divided into communal apartments. The building was renovated in the mid-90s. It housed the recreation center building. After the fire, the cottage was rebuilt in brick. It was not possible to preserve the historical layout of the site. The President Hotel has been located in the mansion since 2004.
