Nikolsky Gate
Detailed description
The Nikolsky Gate was built in 1729. They served as the main entrance to the fortress from the northwest side. From 1792 to 1793, four-column porticos were installed on both sides of the gate. A triangular pediment was installed on the northern portico, and the southern one was decorated with decorative bombs. In 1874, the Nikolsky Gate was rebuilt. As a result, the gateway passage was expanded. Its height was 5.25 m and its width was 6.3 m.
