The Nikolsky Gate was built in 1729. They served as the main entrance to the fortress from the northwest side. From 1792 to 1793, four-column porticos were installed on both sides of the gate. A triangular pediment was installed on the northern portico, and the southern one was decorated with decorative bombs. In 1874, the Nikolsky Gate was rebuilt. As a result, the gateway passage was expanded. Its height was 5.25 m and its width was 6.3 m.

Никольские ворота были возведены в 1729 году. Они служили главным въездом в крепость с северо-западной стороны. С 1792 по 1793 годов с обоих сторон ворот были установлены четырехколонные портики. На северном портике был установлен треугольный фронтон, а южный был украшен декоративными бомбами. В 1874 г. Никольские ворота были перестроены. В результате чего, были расширен воротный проезд. Его высота составила 5,25 м, а ширина – 6,3 м.
