Chief Officer's House
Detailed description
The house was built in 1751. In 2001 it became an object of cultural heritage. The office was located in a one-story building with a mezzanine. Later, the apartments of the chief officers were located here. In 1844, the house was changed. The second floor was erected, and the building lost its four-pitched roof. Together with the chief officer's house, the parade ground major's house was rebuilt nearby. The reconstruction work of these two buildings was managed by one architect, Anton Kutsi. According to his project, they were combined into a single stylistic architectural ensemble. After 1917, this ensemble became part of the Goznak Mint production complex, which still manages both buildings.
