Merchant A.S. Lebedev's House
Detailed description
The house belonged to a merchant, the owner of the A.S.Lebedev fashion workshop. It was built by local craftsmen according to a project approved by the city council in 1886. An example of a late 19th century Yekaterinburg residence, its facade is decorated with carved wooden ornaments made in various techniques using folk ornamental motifs. Until the mid-1980s, the house was a communal apartment building with a small fenced area on which outbuildings were located. After that, all the tenants were resettled, and the house had long been empty and dilapidated. Then the building was leased to the artists' association and partially restored.
