The house of A.Ya. Lobanov-Rostovsky
Detailed description
The building is an architectural monument and belongs to the classical style. The house was built according to the architect's design for Prince Alexander Yakovlevich Lobanov-Rostovsky from 1817 to 1820. The building resembles a flat triangle. The main facade is decorated with eight columns of Corinthian porticos. The ramp provided convenience for horse-drawn carriages that could drive right up to the front door. The lion sculptures at the entrance are carved from white Carrara marble. All kinds of social events regularly took place in the Lobanov-Rostovsky house.
